The ideal predator fishing kayak

The ideal predator fishing kayak: You want to buy a predator fishing kayak, good choice! But… how do we now build it out into the ideal fishing machine? Below is an example from our team member Jonas.

The kayak itself is a Hobie Mirage Compass 2018. Ideal for active predator fishing in salt and fresh water.
Equipped with Railblaza-Humminbird-Rebelcell

The fishfinder used here is a Humminbird Helix 9 MSI GPS G2N. The transducer is built into the bottom of the kayak. This allows optimal use of the 2D sonar for example while catfishing, but the Side Imaging can also be used while paddling. The screen is mounted via a Railblaza trackmount.

The fishfinder is powered by a Rebelcell 12V50Ah.
A lithium battery is ideal here, because it holds a lot of power while keeping the weight very low and being very compact.
The 50Ah version provides the Humminbird with enough power to get through a whole 14-hour fishing day without problems, and still have 30% left over.

The battery is stored in a waterproof bag and placed in a crate. A triple rod holder is also mounted on this crate so the rods can be neatly stowed away while paddling.
